In order to receive official recognition by the State, the quality of Strate’s pedagogy, research, social policy, administration and management were measured (published in BOESR, December 7, 2015).
Social diversity in recruitment
Being recognized by the State allows for students at Strate (as long as their social criteria permits) to receive funding from CROUS. Students who would like to apply to Strate but do not have the financial means necessary are encouraged to register to CROUS for an opportunity to finance their education.
“This recognition will affect the social origin of our students since they will now be able, if they correspond to the necessary requirements, to receive a scholarship for their studies. Talent exists in other spheres of the world, and we are thrilled to welcome these students from such spheres at Strate,” says Dominique Sciamma, director of Strate School of Design. “Moreover, the French State validates the excellence of the school and considers it among the ecosystem of higher education.”
