The brand that they were supposed to work on is called Ducray. The objective is to imagine a new packaging concept for the cosmetic products "Sensinol" dedicated for the elderly.
The contest started in June 2015 and the finale was held on the 6th of november 2015.
Sylvain and Kevin present their project:
"Our Sensinol 2.0 products range comes from a reflection process on a new usage of cosmetics towards the elderly.
In the framework of the EPDA (European Packaging Design Association) DIY (Do It Yourself) competition, our project was to imagine a specific products range for the Ducray brand. We first carried out an observation work that led us to completely rethink the products, since they were not adapted to the target.
To do so, we went through an exchange process with these people, in order to target the gaps and necessary changes. The problematics led us to imagine more adapted and more intuitive new products. We improved ergonomics allowing a more targeted better usage, according to the physical problems we faced. The caps are not to be screwed anymore; they open thanks to a simple pressure. The weighing scale has been modified for a better stability when it is used, thanks to new materials as silicone and the pressure from the hands has been minimised. Moreover, we wanted to give a stronger graphic identity to the products, for a better understanding and visibility.
Each product from our range has a unique usage linked to the person."
Well done Sylvain and Kevin for this international reward.
