“In the framework of the Re-invent River workshop, and within Pforzheim Design School, the city of Pforzheim and Emma Kreativ Zentrum welcomed 8 international students from Bratislava, Milan and Paris to collaborate with 23 German students.
Our mission was to refurbish the north bank of the Enz River that crosses this German city. We started by walking along the river with all participants in order to understand the proportions and the issues of this more or less prospective project. Then we moved on to the ideation stage, where all students put their ideas on paper. After that, we put our ideas in common in order to form groups.
Then each team refined one idea and first implemented it with drawings and then with 3D modeling or even with physical mock-ups. An animation allowed us to have a more immersive experience for each project.
The week ended with an exhibition at Emma creative center.
The workshop was facilitated by par Mr. Gerlach and Mrs. Striepe.
Each project was presented and explained in front of journalists, inhabitants from Pforzheim but also curious people who wanted to know about the future of this German city historic center.”
