How to become a car designer?
La Sapienza, Strate School of Design's new international partner
Strate School of Design and the prestigious "La Sapienza" University of Rome signed an exchange and cooperation agreement in June 2017 as part of the Erasmus program.
This program gives both schools the chance to organize students exchange, but also teachers and researchers exchanges. The first exchanges begin as early as the school year 2018-2019.
What is virtual reality
Even though virtual reality has been around for more than 20 years in high-tech organizations such as space agencies , only recently did it really take off among the general public. While not being exactly mainstream yet, it appears that its applications are becoming more and more accessible. We can now ask ourselves what is the added value of VR and how it can impact our lives.
Strate and Sciences-Po double degree
It will be a part of the "Innovation & Digital Transformation" Masters degree, which combines digital humanities, technological culture and design, which making it unique. Strate’s students will be able to obtain a Degree from Sciences Po by studying an additional a year, as it is already the case with the double diploma in partnership with Grenoble Business School. This new degree combines essential courses and practical workshops to develop the students’ skills.
What is design thinking?
Design thinking is a modern non-linear approach to problem solving. It is about observing people’s behavior, immersing into the way they live and finding what aspects of their lives could be improved. Based on those observations, designers come up with ideas which are quickly turned into prototypes. Designers test, draw conclusions, make adjustments and iterate this process until the end-users’ needs are fulfilled.

What is design?
Generally speaking, it is the process of envisioning and planning the creation of objects, interactive systems, buildings, vehicles, etc. It user-centered, i.e. users are at the heart of the design thinking approach. It is about creating solutions for people, physical items or more abstract systems to address a need or a problem.
It is a very broad concept and its meaning can greatly vary from one field to another. It and permeates many aspects of our lives and branches out into many different subgenres, from product design, sound , virtual reality , interaction , to designing cars, video games, software interfaces, the home and offices interior etc. Schools adapted to the market's evolution accordingly by creating graduate and postgraduate programs in Design.
